Effurun, Delta State – In a stunning revelation, Prophet Austin Ariole, the General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle (GFT), has refuted claims that Naira Marley was responsible for the tragic demise of the young singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Instead, Prophet Ariole has asserted that witches within Mohbad’s own family are to blame for the untimely death.
This revelation came during a prayer meeting of the Upper Room team at Goshen Freedom Tabernacle in Effurun on Tuesday. Expressing his sorrow over Mohbad’s passing, the prophet criticized the Church for not taking more significant steps to protect the budding musician.
“I don’t typically support worldly musicians, but I became interested in this case. When I prayed last night, God revealed to me that Naira Marley was not the cause of Mohbad’s death. It was witches from his own village who took his life,” stated Prophet Ariole.
He went on to explain that these family witches had perceived Mohbad’s promising future, leading them to commit this tragic act. Despite the grief within the family, the prophet criticized Mohbad’s father, suggesting that more should have been done to safeguard his son.
Prophet Ariole expressed concerns about the father’s focus on financial matters related to the burial rather than addressing the tragedy itself. Prior suspicions had implicated Naira Marley and Larry Sammy in Mohbad’s death, resulting in radio stations imposing an indefinite ban on Naira Marley’s music.
A nationwide rally demanding justice for Mohbad has been gaining momentum, with police authorities initiating investigations and considering the exhumation of his corpse for a thorough autopsy to uncover the circumstances surrounding his untimely demise.
