Autopsy Fails to Determine Cause of Mohbad’s Death, Pathologist Reveals

The autopsy conducted on the body of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has failed to provide conclusive evidence regarding the cause of his demise.

Wahab Shittu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), disclosed this during a press briefing at the coroner’s inquest held in Lagos on Wednesday.

Shittu conveyed the pathologist’s findings, stating that due to the advanced state of decomposition of Mohbad’s body, determining the cause of death was unfeasible.

“In summary, he is saying the cause of death cannot be ascertained. When you say the cause of death cannot be ascertained, it means it is suspicious, it is not clear. No particular reason,” the SAN remarked.

Additionally, Shittu noted that the pathologist speculated Mohbad might have succumbed to a reaction from certain medications administered to him.

Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, passed away under mysterious circumstances on September 12 and was interred the following day.

On September 21, Mohbad’s remains were exhumed for an autopsy, with subsequent toxicology tests conducted in the United States.

The unresolved circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death have sparked widespread discussions on social media, including conjecture about the paternity of Liam.

Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, has insisted on a DNA test before any further burial arrangements are made, and has urged the police to investigate Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, to ascertain the truth behind the singer’s demise.

Omowunmi has agreed to the DNA test but has requested it be conducted at three different hospitals. She has also alleged harassment from Aloba and others on social media.
