Alleged Father of Late Mohbad’s Son Petitions IGP Over Social Media Harassment

In a bid to combat social media bullying, the traditional ruler of Ikate Elegushi Kingdom in Lagos State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, has taken legal action against three social media influencers accused of spreading false information about him. The influencers allegedly used the TikTok app to propagate rumors suggesting Oba Elegushi is the biological father of the late Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Aloba Mohbad’s son.

The individuals implicated in the petition include Abosede Comfort Ilesanmi, a Nigerian based in Germany, and Olubukola Jesse, also known as Bukky Jesse, residing in the United Kingdom. They purportedly claimed Oba Elegushi’s involvement in the paternity saga between Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, and her father-in-law.

In an official statement released by the media consultant of the Elegushi Royal Family on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi vehemently denied any association with the ongoing paternity dispute. The statement emphasized the falsehood of the social media influencers’ claims and their detrimental impact on the monarch’s reputation.

Furthermore, the statement revealed that legal action has been taken against the accused individuals, with a petition filed with the Nigeria Police and other relevant security agencies. Oba Elegushi’s legal team seeks to enforce his fundamental human rights and protect him from cyberbullying.

The monarch remains optimistic that the Nigeria Police will collaborate with international security organizations to address the issue and seek appropriate redress for the alleged defamation and harassment.
