Mohbad: Naira Marley Threatens Legal Action Against K-Solo for Defamation
In a recent turn of events, Nigerian music sensation, Afeez Fashola, widely recognized as Naira Marley, has issued a stern warning of impending legal action against renowned record producer, Solomon Oyeniyi, also known as K-Solo. The threat of a lawsuit comes in response to K-Solo’s allegations that Naira Marley was involved in the tragic demise of his former protégé, Mohbad.
The controversial accusations were first voiced by K-Solo in an appearance on Channels TV’s “Rubbin’ Minds” program back in September. He boldly stated, “Naira Marley can’t tell me he is not involved. He has a hand in Mohbad’s death.”
However, Naira Marley’s media team has released an official statement today, asserting their intention to take legal action against K-Solo for defamation of character. This move is driven by their determination to protect Naira Marley’s reputation and combat baseless accusations.
In the statement, the media team emphasizes the seriousness of making unfounded allegations and the consequences that can result from such actions. They argue that accusations of this nature not only damage the image of the accused but also perpetuate groundless claims that have been widely spread by various individuals, including K-Solo and two notable actresses.
The statement further highlights the team’s change in approach, mentioning their past decision to remain silent out of respect for the deceased and their previous association with him. However, the growing negative narrative surrounding Naira Marley has prompted this assertive response. Henceforth, anyone making allegations against Naira Marley will be required to present concrete evidence, not only on the internet but also in a court of law.
Naira Marley’s media team concludes with a resolute stance, promising that every falsehood and rumour will be met with the full weight of the law, signaling their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the artist’s reputation.
