Anambra 2025: APC Pays ₦50m, Obtains Campaign Permit from State Signage Agency
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State has formally obtained the Out-of-Home Political Campaign Permit from the Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA), a key requirement for political parties ahead of the November 8, 2025 governorship election.
The permit, issued after the payment of the state government–approved fee of ₦50 million, was officially handed over by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ANSAA, Odili Tony Ujubuonu, to APC representatives Engr. Fabian Ozigbo and Mr. Uche Nwangwu.
With this approval, the APC flagbearers—Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu (popularly known as Ikukuoma Anambra) and his running mate, Senator Dr. Uche Ekwunife (Iyom Ifekaolaedo)—are now authorized to roll out campaign activities across the 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra State. The permit covers the use of campaign materials such as posters, banners, branded vehicles, fliers, T-shirts, public address systems, and other forms of political advertising.
The ANSAA permit is part of the regulatory framework designed to ensure orderliness and compliance in the use of outdoor advertising and signage during electioneering. Over the years, political campaigns in Anambra have often sparked disputes over unauthorized posters, billboards, and rival party branding on public infrastructure. By securing this permit, the APC has taken a crucial step toward formally commencing its campaign in line with state regulations.
The November 2025 election is expected to be highly competitive, with major political parties intensifying preparations to secure the governorship seat in one of Nigeria’s most politically dynamic states.
