“We’re Working Not to Bring Shame to PDP” – Bauchi Governor

 

 

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has reaffirmed his commitment, along with other members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), to uphold the party’s integrity and ensure it remains united. Speaking at the PDP North-East Zonal Caucus meeting in Bauchi on Thursday, he emphasized the collective dedication to strengthening the party.

 

During the meeting, party leaders from the zone engaged with the reconciliation committee set up by the National Working Committee (NWC). Governor Mohammed highlighted that the North-East zone had been recognized as the least affected by internal divisions, demonstrating strong unity and focus. He assured that members were working towards advancing the party’s reputation through impactful projects and programs that directly benefit the people.

 

Mohammed further stressed loyalty to the party’s structures across the region, including states without a PDP governor, pledging continuous support to ensure the party’s growth.

 

Chairman of the reconciliation committee, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, reiterated the party’s commitment to addressing internal challenges, positioning PDP as a formidable force ahead of the 2027 general elections. He stated that the committee’s goal was to engage with aggrieved members and restore cohesion within the party.

 

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa described the reconciliation efforts as crucial, given the lingering issues affecting the party. He urged members to work together, emphasizing that only through collective efforts could PDP reclaim its leadership position in the country.
