PDP BoT, Wike in Closed-Door Meeting over Party Crisis
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday engaged in a private meeting with the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Senator Adolphus Wabara.
The meeting, which took place behind closed doors, has sparked speculation that it may be aimed at addressing the ongoing internal crisis within the party, particularly in Rivers State.
Although the press was barred from the discussions, sources suggest the BoT is attempting to mediate between Wike and key figures in the PDP, following recent tensions in the party. The BoT had formally requested the meeting in August, days after meeting Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
At the time of this report, it remains unclear if any resolutions were reached.
