JUST IN: Reno Omokri Drops Bombshell Email Allegedly Showing Peter Obi Sent Him His CV to Become Atiku’s Running Mate
By Arthur Maduka
Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has published an email which he claims shows Peter Obi sent him his CV in 2018 while seeking to become Atiku Abubakar’s running mate for the 2019 presidential election. Omokri released the email after a supporter of Obi called him a liar in a video interview.
In tweets accompanying the release, Omokri stated, “Because an agent of Peter Obi called me a liar… I am left with no choice but to publish the evidence.” He added, “My ONLY motive in publishing this evidence is to establish that I did not lie.”
The email, dated October 8, 2018, shows Obi thanking Omokri for his support and attaching his CV. “I have been directed by our Oga… to send my resume to you, kindly find attached,” Obi allegedly wrote. Omokri claims the email was sent four days before Obi was announced as Atiku’s running mate on October 12, 2018.
Omokri warned that if Obi denies the email, he would release even more evidence, though he said it was not his desire to do so. As of now, Peter Obi has not publicly responded to Omokri’s claims.
