“I won 2023 presidential election,” Peter Obi insists
Peter Obi has reiterated his position that he won the 2023 presidential election, insisting the official result did not reflect what he believes happened at the polls.
Speaking on the Naija Unfiltered podcast on Saturday, he maintained that his campaign secured victory despite the outcome declared by electoral authorities.
He said the result announced did not align with his assessment of the vote, adding that the system produced a different outcome from what he considers the reality.
“I can show you today that, as far as I am concerned, I ran for the office of the President of Nigeria and won. But the system decided otherwise, and they know it,” he said.
He repeated the claim for emphasis, insisting his side won the election but was not declared.
Obi contested the 2023 presidential election under the Labour Party and was officially recorded as having polled about six million votes.
