PDP National Chairman’s Media Aide Resigns
Malam Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has resigned from his position. Dingyadi, known for his vocal presence on radio, television, and in print media, submitted his resignation in a letter dated June 25, 2025, addressed to the Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Iliya Damagum.
In the letter, Dingyadi thanked the PDP leadership for the opportunity to serve, acknowledging the support and contributions he received throughout his over three-year tenure. He did not disclose reasons for his departure, which comes amid internal party disputes.
A veteran of Nigeria’s political communication landscape, Dingyadi has been active in the media machinery of the PDP since the Obasanjo/Atiku era. He previously served under the late Minister of Communications, Arzika Tambuwal, and played key roles in the media operations of several major political movements including the late Shehu Musa Yar’Adua’s People’s Front, the Social Democratic Party, the Democratic People’s Party under Attahiru Bafarawa, and the administration of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
