JUST IN: Police Rescue Abducted Fouani Brothers in Lagos
The Lagos police command has successfully rescued the three Fouani brothers who were abducted on June 14. The brothers—Abbas, Youssef, and Amtal Fouani—were taken around 6 PM while returning from their factory by boat.
Fouani Nigeria Ltd, the family’s business, is well-known for its electronics distribution, being the sole distributor of LG, Hisense, and Maxi products in Nigeria.
Efforts to secure their release intensified, and by Monday night, the victims, along with their boat driver and his assistant, were freed in Orugbo Iddo.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, confirmed the successful operation via WhatsApp, crediting the Lagos Marine police and the Nigerian Navy for their collaboration. “They were rescued late last night in Orugbo Iddo. Our marine police, with the support of the Nigerian Navy, brought them to shore,” Hundeyin stated.
The rescued individuals were safely transported to their residence on Banana Island early Tuesday morning.
