Portable Surrenders to Lagos Police at SCID Yaba
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has surrendered himself to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the development in a message to SK Blog on Wednesday. According to Hundeyin, the police have informed the Ogun State Police Command, which is expected to take custody of the singer.
“Portable just turned himself in at the SCID Yaba. We have contacted Ogun State Police Command to come pick him up,” Hundeyin stated.
The circumstances surrounding Portable’s decision to surrender remain unclear, but his recent public statements and legal troubles have drawn significant attention. The singer, known for his controversial persona, had previously claimed to be undergoing psychiatric treatment in Ogun State, a statement dismissed by the police.
