JUST IN: Court Upholds Suspension of PDP National Vice Chairman, Ali Odefa
The Federal High Court in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, has affirmed the suspension of Ali Odefa as the National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Odefa was suspended on October 4, 2024, by the executive committee of his Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area, Ebonyi State. The suspension was based on allegations of anti-party activities. In response, Odefa dismissed the suspension as null and void, claiming that those behind it were not legitimate ward executives of the party.
In a ruling on the case, tagged Suit No. FHC/AI/CS/182/2024, Justice Hilary Oshomah declared the suspension valid. The judge ordered Odefa to stop presenting himself as the National Vice Chairman of the PDP, upholding the actions of the ward executives.
