Those were the words of a hausa boy who joined the street celebrations after it was announced that President Goodluck Ebele Goodluck Jonathan had conceded to General Muhammadu Buhari.

This words were spoken in the Abacha Road area around Mararaba Nyanya area of the FCT.

When the jubilations started, brooms were shared and the black street petrol ‘marketers’ actually hawkers who ususally hang out around petrol stations were selling fuel for N50 a litre. In fact if you chanted Sai Buhari you got 10 litres for free,,,,When questioned about the price and if it was bad fuel…one of the young men said “go and thank your broda Jonathan for allowing Buhari to win…all of you for don die by now”….according to this confidant, they had planned to use the petrol which had been bought and stored to attack Christians living in the area,,,burn their house and kill them all…they also had a stash of knives, cutlasses and sickles that had been stored for this mass slaughter…even some home made traditional bombs and of course plenty of petrol

Also it had been alleged that some mosques were used as warehouses for guns, machetes and all sorts of weapons prior to the announcement….and they were cleared out after the announcement.

A polling unit in Kaduna has some as an example, 334 people people who voted….333 voted for APC, 1 person voted PDP….when the votes were counted, the crowd was livid…they wanted to know who had betrayed them by all means so they could kill him they even started looking at the thumbprint on the ballot paper and were wondering whose thumb looked like that…when the could not, they slaughtered a ram instead….phew…

Back in Abuja, While the drama was on between Orubebe and Jega at the declaration of results at the ICC in Abuja, the hausa youth had trooped to the streets of Abuja as if under some command and you could see them waiting for things to go wrong…in fact Ibo traders had locked their shops in computer village in Zone 1 and started running away once they saw the tension…some did not even lock their shops…phew again

Today if you enter any shop owned by a Mallam in abuja…just shout Sai Baba…you will get a heavy discount of items free,,,someone got two free hats for her son…this obviously meant a lot to them.

Closer to civilization, a friend went to Wuse market dressed in Etiboh (south south outfit) people followed him shouting your broda gave us Almajiri school but we no want…we want Almajiri president…he is a tough guy but he said he scooted to his cap and quickly left that environment.
