Give Buni his chance – Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that the Governor Mai Mala Buni led Caretaker Committee should be allowed to continue their operations unhindered.
He made this known in a letter dated 16th March 2022 and addressed to the Governor of Kebbi and Chairman of the Progressive Governor’s Forum, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
In the letter, Buhari acknowledged the the ruling All Progressive Congress APC is currently being faced with a lot of controversies that may jeopardize the organization of its National Congress.
Buhari also acknowledged the series of litigations against the party, stating that all these issues pose a real threat to the party and may lead to non-recognition of its activities, elections and probable invalidation of all its activities by INEC.
Buhari consequently directed that the issue of the leadership of the Caretaker Extra Ordinary Convention Committee should return to status quo.
He however warned all members of the Governor’s Forum and their followers to desist from acts that may lead to disunity in the party.
He further directed that the National Convention must unfailingly hold on 26th of March 2022.
