Yul Edochie Pays Tribute to Late Son on His Posthumous 17th Birthday
Renowned Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, took to his Instagram account on Thursday to commemorate what would have been the 17th birthday of his late son, Kambilichukwu.
Expressing profound grief, Yul shared heartfelt sentiments, recounting a dream where his departed son appeared taller, more handsome, and joyous. The actor candidly acknowledged the challenges of navigating life without Kambi but highlighted his strength, drawing resilience from his faith in God.
In a poignant post, Yul wrote, “Kambi yooooo! Happy 17th birthday, my great son. Hope you’re doing well over there. I never knew I’d ever do a write-up like this, but here we are. Life.”
The actor went on to describe a dream where Kambi seemed to be thriving, playing basketball instead of football, and radiating happiness. Yul expressed the difficulty of coping with the loss, emphasizing his unwavering strength for the sake of his other children.
“We miss you. We love you, but God loves you more. You’re elevated now. Keep watching over us all. Keep flying, son. Till we meet again. Don’t stop playing football. Happy 17th birthday, Son. Daddy loves you,” Yul concluded.
As a painful reminder, Yul and his estranged wife, May, tragically lost Kambilichukwu in January. Reports suggest that after an intense night of studying for exams, the young man joined friends for a football game, where he suddenly collapsed, experiencing a seizure. Despite immediate medical attention, he was confirmed dead at the hospital.
