Yul Edochie: “I Regret Sponsoring Judy Austin’s University Education,” Says Ex-Husband Emmanuel Obasi
Emmanuel Obasi, the former husband of Judy Austin—Yul Edochie’s second wife—has expressed regret over funding her university education, revealing a decade-long grievance in a recent Facebook Live session.
Obasi, who married Austin at 19 and fathered two children with her before their 2013 divorce, claims that their marriage soured after she commenced her university studies. He alleged that Austin’s pursuit of education led to the dissolution of their marriage and financial disputes.
“I invested in her education hoping she would join my business, but things fell apart,” Obasi lamented. He further accused Austin of taking his possessions and ending their marriage under contentious circumstances. “She packed up everything in 2012 and later demanded I take back my bride price,” he added.
Compounding the situation, Obasi alleged that Yul Edochie began a relationship with Austin while she was still married to him. This claim surfaced shortly after Edochie’s sermon denouncing adultery.
Obasi also expressed frustration over his lack of access to his children, claiming he has not seen them since the divorce. He described his situation as a form of “kidnapping,” expressing a dire need for contact with his children and accusing Austin of denying him this fundamental right.
Additionally, Obasi reported threats to his life from Austin and her family, alleging that his attempts to seek justice through legal and police channels have been obstructed. “They have threatened to kill me if I speak out, and my efforts to seek help have been thwarted,” he said.
Yul Edochie has not responded to requests for comment regarding these allegations at the time of publication.
Austin has previously denied having an affair with Edochie while still married to Obasi, asserting during a Facebook Live that her previous marriage ended before meeting Edochie.
