Why SuperSport Won’t Air AFCON 2023 Matches – MultiChoice
MultiChoice revealed that SuperSport Channel will not be showcasing the highly anticipated African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 matches, scheduled from January 13th to February 11th, 2024. This decision stems from DSTV’s inability to secure the broadcasting rights for the tournament.
In an official statement, MultiChoice clarified, “SuperSport Channel will not broadcast the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 because the channel has not secured the rights to broadcast the tournament.”
Despite this setback, MultiChoice assured football enthusiasts that AFCON 2023 games will still be accessible through their partner broadcast stations on Free to Air (FTA) channels. As the football community eagerly awaits the tournament, alternative viewing options will ensure fans don’t miss out on the action.
