Why I Survived Assassination Attempt – Anambra PDP Governorship Candidate
Anambra State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Jude Ezenwafor, says surviving a recent assassination attempt is a sign that he is destined to become governor.
Ezenwafor was attacked by alleged assassins in Abuja last month and narrowly escaped death. Speaking on Arise News on Thursday night, he described the incident as traumatising but said it has strengthened his resolve to continue his political journey.
“They rained bullets all over my body, but I am bouncing back,” he said. The politician, who now uses a walking stick and limps due to injuries from the attack, disclosed that Thursday was his first day wearing trousers since the incident.
Reflecting on rumours that he had died, Ezenwafor said the experience taught him an important life lesson. “It was a lesson to know that I can die any day, but I’m not going to die soon,” he said. “It’s also a sign that I’m destined to be the governor of Anambra State. I’m very confident about that.”
