Shootouts: Nigerian Army Neutralizes Four Suspected Terrorists, Dismantles ESN Camps in Abia
The Nigerian Army has reported the successful neutralization of four suspected terrorists in Abia State during a clearance operation conducted by troops of the South-East Joint Task Force, Operation Udoka. This announcement was made in a statement released on Monday night by Lt. Col. Jonah Unuakhalu.
According to the statement, the operation occurred on Sunday within a forest in Umuaku Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area (LGA) of Abia State, following credible intelligence.
Additionally, the army disclosed that in the early hours of Monday, troops raided a camp allegedly operated by the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, near the Imo River axis. The camp was destroyed during the operation.
The statement further revealed that arms, vehicles, and other items were recovered from the Isiala Ngwa camp and additional camps targeted in similar operations in neighboring Imo State.
