Sexathon: Woman Dies During Intimacy With Lover in Ondo Hotel

A tragic incident occurred in Ode-Irele, Ondo State, on Wednesday night, May 14, 2025, when a woman reportedly died during an alleged sex marathon with her lover at a local hotel.

The deceased, whose identity has yet to be confirmed, was said to be of Urhobo origin and operated a liquor joint in Ore, the administrative centre of Odigbo Local Government Area. She had travelled to Ode-Irele to meet her lover, who had earlier checked into a popular hotel along Gboroye Street in anticipation of her arrival.

According to a community source who spoke with Hope Newspaper, the couple allegedly engaged in prolonged sexual activity before the woman became unresponsive around 9:30 p.m. Alarmed by her condition, the man reportedly raised an alert and rushed her to the Ondo State Specialist Hospital in Ode-Irele.

Unfortunately, doctors on duty confirmed her dead upon arrival. Her body has since been deposited in the hospital’s morgue.

Authorities have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding her death. While the identity of the man involved has not been released, police are said to be questioning him as part of their inquiry.

Confirming the incident, the local coordinator of the Amotekun Corps in Irele, Mr. Joseph Ebisanmi, noted that although the matter had not been officially reported to his office, he was aware of the situation. Similarly, the Chairman of Irele Local Government, Deacon Olajide Akinfe, confirmed the woman came from Ore to visit her lover.

The case has sparked discussions in the community, with many calling for a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
