Sen Ned Nwoko Reacts to Welcoming Child with Actress, Chika Ike
Nigerian lawyer and politician, Prince Chinedu Munir Nwoko, widely known as Ned Nwoko, has denied rumors suggesting that he is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife.
Speculation around the alleged relationship grew after Nwoko’s wife, Regina Daniels, deactivated her Instagram account, fueling claims that her husband had welcomed a child with the actress. Addressing the matter on Monday via his Instagram page, Nwoko dismissed the reports as baseless and unfounded, calling them a product of malicious speculation.
In a statement issued by the Director of Communications from the Office of Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, he refuted the rumors and urged media practitioners to verify information before publishing. The statement emphasized that the claims were entirely false, adding that similar reports alleging he made comments about singer Tuface Idibia and polygamy were also untrue.
The statement further noted that, as a public figure and with a wife who is also an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers to create false narratives for attention. It stressed that Nwoko remains focused on his national assignment and political mandate, dismissing the rumors as mere distractions.
Nwoko’s office reaffirmed its availability for information verification and reminded journalists of the consequences of spreading misinformation. The public has been advised to disregard the rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.
