“Retract That Blackmail Claim or I’ll Reveal What We Discussed,” Doris Ogala Tells Pastor Okafor
Actress Doris Ogala has demanded that Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, retract a statement calling her a “blackmailer,” warning that she may disclose details of their private discussions if he does not.
Ogala, recently released from detention, denied ever attempting to blackmail the cleric. She said she was kept in isolation after her arrest in Abuja and, during her transfer to Lagos, was denied access to her phone, lawyer, and relatives.
The actress alleged that Pastor Okafor disrupted her life after their nine-year relationship ended abruptly, claiming he broke a promise to marry her and later married another woman, Pearl.
In a series of Instagram videos, Ogala said her arrest was orchestrated through an agent connected to her housekeeper, who she accused of extortion. She described being detained in an isolated room, rather than a cell, and being transported in a way meant to conceal her identity.
Responding to the claim that she was a blackmailer, Ogala called the allegation “unacceptable” and insisted it misrepresented their prior settlement discussions. She warned that she would reveal the details of their talks if the allegation was not withdrawn.
Previously, the 37-year-old actress issued a legal notice demanding N1 billion in damages, citing emotional, reputational, and psychological harm from the breakdown of the relationship. She was arrested on December 20 in Abuja and released two days later following interventions by social media influencer Martins Otse and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.
Pastor Okafor, during a Sunday service, said he would remain silent pending official investigations. “Though it can be painful that you are being misrepresented for what you are not, he who alleges must prove,” he stated.
