Port Harcourt: Woman Allegedly Poisons Boyfriend, Hides Body Under Bed for Days
A young woman in the Iyo Polo community of Marine Base, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has been arrested for allegedly poisoning her boyfriend to death and hiding his body under a bed in his apartment. The incident reportedly followed a dispute over alleged infidelity.
Local sources say the woman concealed the body for three days before neighbors began noticing a strong odor coming from the residence. Concerned by the smell and the victim’s unusual silence, residents tried to check on him but were blocked by the woman, whose behavior they described as suspicious.
After being alerted, police officers forced entry into the apartment and discovered the decomposing body hidden under the bed. The woman was immediately taken into custody as investigations began.
While an official statement is yet to be released by the authorities, preliminary reports point to a domestic dispute as the likely motive behind the alleged murder.
