Photos: Wike Loyalists Inaugurate Factional PDP Board Of Trustees At FCTA Secretariat
Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, converged on the FCTA secretariat on Friday to inaugurate a parallel Board of Trustees for the party.
The event was led by the factional chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Abdulraham Muhammad, alongside the suspended National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu.
In his address, Muhammad told the gathering—which included the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike; former Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom; and former Abia North senator, Mao Ohabunwa—that the inauguration signified a defining moment for the PDP.
“Today marks a significant turning point in the life of our great party,” Muhammad said. “We have come together not merely to inaugurate a new Board of Trustees, but to renew our faith in the ideals that gave birth to this great political family—justice, fairness, inclusivity, and respect for the rule of law.”
The official PDP Board of Trustees is currently chaired by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara. However, the Wike-aligned faction is expected to announce its own chairman at the conclusion of the meeting.
