Photos: Joint Security Forces Raided and Dismantled IPOB/ESN Supreme Headquarters at Mother Valley, Scores Killed
In a major breakthrough, the Joint Task Force South East Operation UDO KA (OPUK) successfully raided and dismantled the notorious Supreme Headquarters of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN). The operation, part of a sustained effort that commenced on February 11, 2024, has seen the combined forces of the Nigerian Army (NA), Navy (NN), and Air Force (NAF), alongside personnel from the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), clear and liberate key areas in Imo and Anambra States over the past three weeks.

The strategically concealed Supreme Headquarters, situated in the Mother Valley spanning Orsu and Ihiala LGAs, served as the last stronghold for IPOB/ESN. The location, nestled about 5,000 feet below sea level, provided the terrorists with cover from air surveillance and operated as their command and control center and military council headquarters.

During the raid, courageous troops encountered and neutralized terrorists, detonated numerous Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and cleared various obstacles. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity by dialing Emergency Line 193 and pressing 2.

Among the recovered items today are 3 G3 rifles, 9 Automatic Pump Action Rifles, 7 Double Barrel Guns, 2 Locally Made Pistols, 2 Rocket Propelled Grenade Bombs, 2 AK 47 Magazines, and 1 G3 Magazine. Additionally, seized items include ammunition, explosives, communication equipment, electronics, and propaganda materials.

Force Commander Major General Hassan Taiwo Dada commends the cooperation of sister services and other security agencies, emphasizing the need for liberated communities to repopulate and safeguard their ancestral homes. The JTF OPUK remains committed to providing security support within the legal framework.

Law-abiding citizens are encouraged to share timely information through the OPUK Emergency Line (193), pressing Option 2, to contribute to a peaceful and conducive environment for socio-economic development in the South East geopolitical zone.
