Bwala’s statement suggests that this move by Obi is prompted by the Nigerian Labour Congress’s decision to assume control of the LP, thereby displacing Julius Abure’s leadership.

The timing of this revelation coincides with a recent visit by El-Rufai to the SDP headquarters in Abuja. During his consultation visit, El-Rufai was warmly received by Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, the National Chairman of the SDP, who lauded El-Rufai’s political acumen and advocated for transformational leadership in Nigeria.
