Pastor Chris Okafor Speaks Out on Divorce, Custody Battle, and Allegations Following Remarriage

Senior Pastor of Grace Nation Church, Chris Okafor, has addressed questions about his past marriage, the custody of his children, and the allegations currently circulating about him.

Okafor explained that his divorce occurred when his children were very young, with his daughter being two and his son, Bobo, four. He said the court granted him full custody while giving their mother limited access. Since then, he has raised the children alone for over a decade. Bobo is now 17 and will turn 18 in March, while his daughter, Chidera, is 15.

The pastor said he promised his children he would not remarry until they were grown, a commitment he maintained for 13 years despite challenges. He asserted that the allegations against him only emerged after he remarried, claiming they had never existed during the years he remained single.

Okafor also alleged that his former wife had openly vowed to destroy him and his church, suggesting that the accusations are part of a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation. He strongly denied any inappropriate conduct involving his daughter, emphasizing that if anything had occurred, it would have been reported and addressed by authorities long ago.

During the address, he invited his children to speak, asking them directly if he had ever acted indecently toward them. According to him, they denied the claims, affirming that the allegations are false. Okafor concluded by acknowledging the emotional and mental strain the situation has placed on him, describing the past years as deeply painful.
