Doris Ogala Rejects Chris Okafor’s Claim of Lies in Public Apology

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has rejected claims by Pastor Chris Okafor that her allegations against him were false.

On Sunday, the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry issued a public apology to Ogala, following a series of accusations she had made against him. Okafor acknowledged mistakes but said some of the actress’s claims were untrue.

Ogala had accused the pastor of failing to fulfill a promise to marry her, a controversy that has also drawn allegations from Okafor’s children. In a formal letter dated December 16, 2025, delivered through her lawyers at Synergy Law Partners, the actress demanded N1 billion in compensation.

During his address to his congregation, Okafor said, “To the lady called Doris Ogala, mistakes have been made in the past and I tender apologies to everybody. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said, however, I am saying sorry to everyone I have offended. To Doris Ogala, I am so sorry and I apologize. I am ready to make restitution to anyone that I have offended.”

Responding on her Facebook page, Ogala rejected the pastor’s claim that her statements were lies. “Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there is a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she wrote.
