“Nigerians better be careful of such a man” — Vector Tha Viper speaks on Peter Obi
Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, known professionally as Vector Tha Viper, has called for caution in how Nigerians assess political leaders, citing the intelligence and public appeal of Peter Obi.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Vector was asked whether Obi’s popularity is exaggerated or if Nigerians should pay closer attention to his influence. In response, he described the former Labour Party presidential candidate as “very highly intelligent” and capable of commanding public attention.
“Nigerians better be careful of such a man,” Vector said, explaining that his remark was not based on any allegation of wrongdoing. He stressed that he had no personal knowledge of misconduct and was speaking more broadly about the impact of persuasive and well-informed leaders.
The rapper noted that Obi’s ability to articulate his views and encourage citizens to verify information independently contributes to his appeal. However, he added that political history shows that public expectations do not always match eventual outcomes.
Vector clarified that his comments were not intended to undermine Obi’s political efforts, but to encourage critical thinking when evaluating influential public figures.
