Peter Obi Meets UK, EU and Other Western Diplomats in Abuja Breakfast Meeting
Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Wednesday held a breakfast meeting in Abuja with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria and diplomats from the European Union, Germany, Canada, and France.
Obi disclosed the meeting on X, noting that discussions focused on relations with foreign partners. He said the engagement involved a broad exchange with representatives of the participating missions.
While no official statement was issued on the substance of the talks, the meeting comes amid increased contact between Nigerian political figures and members of the diplomatic community.
The engagement also takes place as political activity gradually builds ahead of the 2027 general election.
Obi, who remains a prominent voice in opposition politics since the 2023 polls, has continued to participate in public debates on governance and economic policy.
