Let’s unite to defeat APC – Doherty

Frontline governorship contender for Lagos PDP ticket, Engr. Adedeji Doherty on his tour of the local governments yesterday met with principal officers and critical leaders at both Alimosho and Amuwo Odofin Local Government yesterday, calling on all members to encourage peace and brace up for the great task ahead of confronting the APC at the 2023 general election.

Doherty told delegates that he had come to seek their support knowing that the task of defeating the APC begins with choosing the right candidate as our flagbearer during the primary elections coming in few days time.

Assuring everyone of his determination to defend the sanctity of the party and members alike as governor in a PDP government at the Alausa Round House, he said it was time for all members to come together and work for the success that we’ve all desired for our party since the past years.

Doherty reminded the delegates that it’s only someone who had endured together with them through the pains of building the PDP in spite of consistent vicious attacks from politicians in the opposing camps in Lagos since the AD era that could better appreciate them.

According to him, it is the person who had been with them through thick and thin that could appreciate their sufferings for the PDP and value their hard work.

He said PDP members in Lagos should not be depressed by any aspirant disparaging them and our esteemed leaders as money mongers whose only ambition is to steal election funds, saying such can only be the opinion of someone who couldn’t see any value in the sacrifices they have made for the party to remain alive in Lagos.

Doherty said he would work hard with every critical leaders and members if given the party ticket to ensure that, going into the election as one united family, the APC is dislodged in Lagos State.

“We stand a good chance in these coming elections if we choose right candidates and work together”, said Doherty.
