JUST IN: PDP Crisis Resolved, Status Quo Restored, Say Governors, Acting Chairman Damagum
Governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have announced that the internal crisis within the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has been fully resolved. This was confirmed by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, who also serves as the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, and the party’s Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Ilyas Damagun.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, both leaders emphasized that the suspended members of the NWC have been reinstated, restoring the previous status quo within the party’s leadership.
Governor Mohammed noted that the resolution was a collective effort involving the PDP Governors’ Forum, the Board of Trustees (BoT), and the party’s National Assembly Caucus. “We have unanimously agreed that all members of the NWC should return to their respective positions, ensuring unity and stability within the party,” he stated.
