APC Leadership Holds Closed-Door Meeting With Bauchi Governor
The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday met privately with Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed at the Government House in Bauchi.
Those present at the meeting included APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda and Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf. Sources indicated that no other party officials attended, as state executives were excluded from the discussions.
The meeting was held behind closed doors, with journalists denied access to the venue.
Neither Governor Mohammed nor Yilwatda spoke to the media after the session, describing the engagement as a private visit.
The development comes a day after Mohammed signalled interest in joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC). His position followed a visit to Bauchi by an ADC delegation led by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.
