JUST IN: Labour Party Claims National Chairman Escaped Assassination Attempt as House Engulfed in Mysterious Fire

The Labour Party (LP) has issued a startling revelation, asserting that Julius Abure, its national chairman, narrowly dodged an assassination attempt amidst a harrowing incident at his residence.

According to a statement released by Obiora Ifoh, the LP’s national publicity secretary, Abure’s Abuja home was engulfed by an inexplicable blaze around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

“The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure, early this morning allegedly escaped an assassination attempt on him at his Abuja residence,” the statement reads.

Describing the terrifying ordeal, Ifoh elaborated, “His residence was also gutted by a mysterious fire which started a few minutes after 1 a.m. while Abure and the members of his family were asleep.”

The statement continued with a chilling account from a member of Abure’s family, detailing the frantic moments when they were alerted by concerned neighbors and security personnel residing within the compound.

“The entire family were trapped as the inferno had reached the staircase making it impossible for Abure and family to escape,” the statement revealed. “However, it took divine intervention for the national chairman and his family to escape after neighbours and security men gallantly pulled down one of the windows upstairs making ways for the family to escape.”

Emergency services, including the Fire Service, promptly responded to the scene, providing assistance after Abure and his family were successfully evacuated.

In the aftermath of the traumatic event, Abure and his family were swiftly transported to a private hospital for urgent medical attention, according to Ifoh’s statement.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain shrouded in mystery, with authorities expected to launch a thorough investigation into the alleged assassination attempt and the subsequent fire.
