JUST IN: “I Have Been Prevented from Travelling Again” – Senator Natasha Akpoti Raises Alarm Over Alleged Passport Seizure
Senator Natasha Akpoti of Kogi Central has raised alarm over the alleged seizure of her international passport, claiming she has once again been stopped from traveling abroad.
In a live broadcast on Tuesday morning, the senator said she discovered her passport had been withheld just as she was preparing to take a short break following the celebration of her second year in office.
“I have committed no offense and there is no court order authorizing the seizure of my passport,” she stated. “The same situation happened before, and the officer in charge said the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, directed that my passport be withheld to prevent me from traveling.”
Senator Akpoti expressed frustration over what she described as repeated interference with her freedom of movement, insisting she has complied with all legal and procedural requirements.
