JUST IN: Four Labour Party Reps Defect to APC
Four members of the Labour Party (LP) in the House of Representatives have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement was made by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen during Thursday’s plenary session.
The defectors represent constituencies in four different states: Kaduna, Imo, Edo, and Cross River. They include Chinedu Okere of the Owerri Municipal/Owerri North/Owerri West Constituency in Imo, Mathew Donatus of Kaura Federal Constituency in Kaduna, Akiba Bassey of Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Constituency in Cross River, and Esosa Iyawe of Oredo Federal Constituency in Edo.
