JUST IN: Cubana Chief Priest in Court for Continuation of ‘Naira Abuse’ Trial
Celebrity nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest arrived at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, today for the ongoing trial related to alleged naira abuse charges.
The trial stems from charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 16, which accused Cubana Chief Priest of engaging in activities that contravene Nigeria’s currency regulations. He was arraigned on three counts and pleaded not guilty.
Following his arraignment, Justice Kehinde Ogundare granted bail set at N10 million, with the condition that he provides two responsible sureties to secure his release. The bail terms required fulfillment within seven days, after which Cubana Chief Priest was released to his lawyer, who must ensure his court attendance.
