JUST IN: FG Announces Free Train Rides on Rehabilitated Port Harcourt-Aba Railway
In a move aimed at encouraging railway use and celebrating the successful rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt-Aba railway line, the Federal Government has announced free train rides for four days.
Oloruntola Oluremi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, announced that the free rides will be available from May 1 to May 4, 2024. The trains will depart from Port Harcourt to Aba at 8 a.m. each day, returning from Aba to Port Harcourt at 3 p.m. The regular commercial schedule will resume on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
