JUST IN: Adamawa Governor Fintiri Dumps PDP, Joins APC with Entire Cabinet
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor announced the move in a statewide broadcast on Friday, February 27, confirming that he defected along with his cabinet and all PDP officials in the state. Fintiri stated that the decision was driven by the developmental interests of Adamawa residents.
Earlier in the week, on February 25, the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly resigned from the PDP, along with 14 other lawmakers, formally ending their affiliation with the opposition party.
