“I Don’t Want to Reveal Our Secret, But APC 2027 Is a Done Deal” – Ganduje Declares as He Welcomes NNPP Decampees
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, on Thursday welcomed a group of defectors from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), declaring that the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections is assured.
Leading the decampees was Senator Kawu Sumaila of Kano South, who had publicly confirmed his defection from the NNPP a day earlier via a Facebook post. “Yes, it is true — the rumors regarding my defection are accurate. All politics is local, and my primary concern has always been, and remains, the welfare of my immediate constituency. I am resolutely determined to advance the lives of my people, ensuring their needs are met and their future is secured,” he wrote.
Speaking at the event to receive the new members, Ganduje expressed confidence in the APC’s future electoral success. “I don’t want to reveal our secret, but what I’m telling you is that APC 2027 is a done deal,” the former Kano governor stated.
