“I Don’t Need Anybody’s Permission for Projects” – Wike
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has asserted that he does not require approval from anyone other than President Bola Tinubu to initiate projects.
Wike made this statement during the flag-off ceremony for the N7 billion Kwaita-Yebu Road project in the Kwali Area Council.
This declaration follows a public disagreement with FCT Senator Ireti Kingibe, who recently criticized Wike for undertaking infrastructural projects she claims do not benefit FCT residents.
In response, Wike emphasized: “For those who are ignorant and don’t know what to say, that we are only doing roads, please let the people know that we are doing something. I don’t need to seek permission from anybody to tell him what projects I will embark upon. It is only the person who appointed me that I can seek such from and that is the President. So nobody can go on air and say they are not doing schools, I don’t need to come and inform you.”
