Governor Adeleke Applauds Supreme Court Verdict, Expresses Hope for President Tinubu’s Leadership
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has expressed his admiration for the recent Supreme Court ruling that upheld President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 15, 2023 presidential election. He eagerly anticipates that Tinubu’s presidency will usher in a new era of peace and prosperity for Nigeria.
The spokesperson of the governor, Olawale Rasheed, conveyed Adeleke’s sentiments in an official statement on Thursday. In his statement, Adeleke conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to President Tinubu on his legal triumph at the highest court in the land.
The governor extended these felicitations in the presence of Folasade Ojo-Tinubu, the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, who was in Ede, Osun State, attending the 8th Day Fidau prayer for the father of Osun State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Wahab Ayofe.
Governor Adeleke commended both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) for contributing to the strengthening of the nation’s electoral jurisprudence by seeking resolution through legal channels. He praised the judiciary for once again demonstrating its efficacy in addressing electoral disputes.
Adeleke expressed his hope that President Tinubu’s tenure would be marked by progress, unity, and prosperity for Nigeria. He also reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with the new administration to provide good governance for the people.
