Gov Okpebholo Appoints Gani Audu as Chief of Staff

 

 

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has named Hon. Gani Audu as his new Chief of Staff.

 

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, who highlighted Audu’s critical role in supporting the governor’s vision to implement impactful reforms in the state. The appointment takes immediate effect.

 

A Distinguished Career

Born on August 18, 1969, Hon. Gani Audu has a solid educational background and extensive political experience. He earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) from Auchi Polytechnic in 1994, followed by a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from Benson Idahosa University in 2011. Most recently, he completed a Master’s degree in Intelligence and Global Security from Baze University, Abuja, in 2024.

 

In his political career, Audu served as Chairman of the Etsako West Local Government Council from 2004 to 2010. He went on to represent Etsako West Constituency 1 in the Edo State House of Assembly from 2015 to 2023. Notably, he was also the deputy governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2020 Edo State Governorship election.

 

Governor Okpebholo’s choice of Audu reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening leadership and ensuring efficient governance for the people of Edo State.
