“It’s Confusing Me”: Governor Okpebholo Stumbles During Presentation of Edo 2025 Budget
Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State faced an awkward moment on Tuesday while presenting the proposed 2025 fiscal budget to the State House of Assembly.
A video, lasting one minute and 17 seconds, has gone viral on social media, capturing the governor’s struggle as he attempted to articulate the budget’s total amount of N605 billion during his presentation of the Appropriation Bill.
While addressing the assembly, Governor Okpebholo fumbled with the figures, admitting to the lawmakers, “The Edo State 2025 budget… appropriation Bill of six billion, sixty and fifty, six hundred five billion, seventy six thousand, seventy six million, seventy six… Let me take it again.”
Despite the misstep, the governor proceeded with the presentation, showing determination to clarify the numbers.
