Ganduje is a Liability, Cannot Deliver Tinubu in 2027 -Kwankwaso

In a recent development, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and former presidential candidate, has strongly criticized his political rival, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, casting doubt on his ability to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

This scathing criticism comes in response to remarks made by Ganduje, the chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), who labeled Kwankwaso as a “serial loser” on Wednesday. In a statement issued by the NNPP’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Yakubu Shendam, it was asserted that Ganduje’s credibility had been marred by alleged scandals, rendering him unfit for serious consideration by the Nigerian electorate. According to the NNPP, these scandals have inflicted “irreparable damage” on the former Kano State governor, making him ineffective in delivering success for Tinubu and the APC in 2027.

Shendam emphasized, “Take it or leave it, Ganduje is a liability to Tinubu, a liability to his party APC, and a liability to the country. With Ganduje as the National Chairman, President Bola Tinubu is going to lose the 2027 presidential election because Nigerians will not vote for him.”

Furthermore, Shendam pointed out the history of collaboration between Kwankwaso and Ganduje, including Kwankwaso’s support in various roles, such as running mate and appointments, asserting that Ganduje had betrayed him. The statement also highlighted Ganduje’s election record, claiming that he had never won an election except the one delivered for him by Kwankwaso in 2015.

Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, revealed that he had contested elections 17 times and secured victory in 14 of those instances.

Additionally, Kwankwaso sounded an alarm regarding what he perceived as an attempt by the Ganduje-led APC to manipulate the electoral process in Kano State, warning that such actions, reminiscent of the 2019 elections, would face resistance from the people of Kano and impartial judges.
