JUST IN: EFCC Launches Probe as Operative Commits Suicide In Abuja
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an investigation after one of its operatives committed suicide on Monday at his home in Abuja.
PRNigeria reports that the deceased, a member of Course 5, was known for his diligence and efficiency within the anti-corruption agency.
The EFCC is looking into possible factors that may have contributed to his death, including mental health issues and family problems.
EFCC spokesperson, Mr. Dele Oyewale, confirmed to PRNigeria that an investigation is underway to determine what led to the tragedy. The operative’s name has not been released, pending the investigation’s conclusion.
