Edo Poll: GEJ, Atiku, Sambo Make PDP Campaign Council List
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the formation of a 152-member National Campaign Council for the upcoming Edo governorship election set for September 16. The council’s inauguration is scheduled for June 11.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State will chair the council, according to a statement released by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Wednesday. The council includes high-profile members such as former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice Presidents Atiku Abubakar and Nnamadi Sambo, and Governors Kefas Agbu of Taraba State and Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State as deputy chairmen.
Additional notable members are the Party Board of Trustees Chairman Adolphus Wabara, PDP National Chairman Umar Damagun, and various governors from the PDP.
Mr. Ologunagba emphasized the National Working Committee’s dedication to securing a victory in the Edo election.
