2027: Atiku Visits Amaechi in Abuja
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on Wednesday visited former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi at his Abuja residence.
Atiku disclosed the visit in a post on his official X account, describing the meeting as “engaging and fruitful.”
He praised Amaechi’s record in public service, describing him as a statesman whose contributions as a two-time Speaker, two-time Governor and two-time Minister continue to resonate in Nigeria’s political history.
Atiku also expressed appreciation for the reception he and his delegation received during the visit.
“I remain deeply grateful for the warmth, grace, and generosity of spirit with which he received me and my delegation,” he wrote.
The visit comes amid ongoing political consultations among key opposition figures ahead of the 2027 elections.
