Covid19 Second Wave: Lagos State PDP Chairman advises members on the need to stay safe
The Lagos State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Engr Adedeji Doherty has advised all members of the party on the need to be very cautious and wary of the dangers of not adhering strictly to all Covid19 protocols as spelt out by the necessary authorities.
This he said is due to the fact that reports are rife that the second wave of Covid19 is even deadlier than the first wave.
He informed that, Lagos State presently stands at the pinnacle of the standings of confirmed Covid19 cases in Nigeria, with well over 34,000 confirmed cases and the second wave already accounting for well over 1500 cases in just a matter of days.
He further informed that the second wave of the virus is just about to berth fully in Nigeria and especially in Lagos State, hence the need for all and sundry to be fully prepared for it.
He however advised that all party faithfuls in the state must strictly adhere to the necessary protocols of social distancing, face mask wearing, washing of hand and/or usage of hand sanitizers.
He further advised that, all party meetings from ward level and upwards (if they must be held), must strictly adhere to all Covid19 protocols and guidelines as stipulated by the relevant authorities.
He reminded all and sundry that the State secretariat remains partially closed in view of Covid19 instructions.
He stressed on the need to stay safe at this period.
